We’re delighted to announce the arrival of our 38,000kg capacity freezer at our production facility in Upton, Dorset. The new freezer was an investment made with our raw feeding community in mind as it allows us to increase capacity by up to 50%, helping us to ensure that when you need us and our products, our stock levels are ready to meet your needs.
Our director, Adam says: “The new freezer will give us greater scope to take more of what our farmers have available at certain times of the year and hold it securely in this second storage facility.
It will give our customers more of what their pets love – fresh, seasonal cuts of meat.”
Our raw pet food is delivered to you frozen, stored in low-waste, specially designed packaging that will keep our products frozen for up to 24 hours whilst in transit. When your order arrives at your door, it will be ready to either be transferred to your own freezer, or safely defrosted and stored in your fridge.
The ideal way to defrost the food is by placing the frozen meal into a leak-proof container and placing at the bottom of the fridge. Leave for 24 hours, or until fully defrosted, and your pet’s raw meal is ready to be served.
Our pouches are very similar to many human grade frozen products found in the supermarkets, and we do all we can to ensure that our packaging is as waste-free as possible. Treat our Nurturing by Nature food as you would treat your own and you won’t go far wrong. We use human grade ingredients and processes to the standard of a human grade butchery plant to ensure the highest quality of food that we can. We have been fully the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) registered since 2011.
We believe the most natural diet for dogs and cats is a raw diet - after all, there are no ovens in the wild. Although cats and dogs are now domesticated, their genetics are similar to their wild ancestors. We understand each pet and person is different and we see raw feeding as a lifestyle choice.
Nurturing by Nature was founded in the family kitchen back in 2004 and whilst we have grown, our roots and our core values have remained the same. We believe in offering only the very highest quality meats, sourced from suppliers we have personally visited and trust. Quite simply, we wouldn’t sell our raw feeding community products we wouldn’t be happy to feed our own pets.
