The Hunter’s Choice Variety Box combines both single-protein and mixed-protein formulations to provide a broader spectrum of amino acids and nutrients. Featuring 100% chicken, duck and beef alongside chicken with venison and salmon, this selection supports flexible feeding strategies, including protein rotation and palatability enhancement.
Venison serves as a novel protein source, which may be beneficial in dogs with sensitivities to more commonly used proteins, while salmon contributes long-chain omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), recognised for their role in modulating inflammatory pathways and supporting skin and coat health. Chicken provides a highly digestible, lean protein base, and beef contributes essential micronutrients such as haem iron and zinc.
This variety box is formulated to align with biologically appropriate feeding principles, offering high-quality animal protein sources with varying lipid profiles and micronutrient contributions. The inclusion of both terrestrial and marine proteins allows for diversification of fatty acid intake, which may support overall physiological function.
Rotational feeding across these recipes may help reduce repetitive exposure to individual proteins while supporting dietary enrichment, although clinical evidence for prevention of food sensitivities remains limited.
